A debating program has been developed in south-eastern Sydney to engage Indigenous youth with their cultural and political history as well as build confidence in their public speaking.
This film follows the students as they prepare for the debate and shows the impact of these programs on the young people who participate them. It celebrates what can be achieved when schools and communities work together to give children skills and confidence.
An on-line resource that compliments the film is coming soon.
Larissa has written and directed the film. Michael is the Executive Producer. This film was made in collaboration with the Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning.
This film is in post-production, expected to be completed by September 2014.
